About Pierre
Meet Pierre, a wonderful canine companion who steals hearts with his quiet grace and gentle nature. His eyes tell a story of courage and resilience, making him a beautiful furry friend.
He came from the pound unwanted. He is a very quiet unassuming guy who seems not to have had much human engagement, so he is looking for the gentle touch and some understanding.
Pierre is social with small dogs but prefers quieter dogs who are not in his face.
Although Pierre has a touch of spondylosis and a mild limp, he handles his life's obstacles with pure elegance. His determined strut is a testament to his strong, loving spirit and his capacity to enjoy life at his own pace. His future home would shine in providing a peaceful environment where he can savor his golden years with tranquility and love.
Accommodating to Pierre's congenital conditions, his future home may consist of other quiet dogs, or he'd be just as cheerful as an only pet - complete with lots of love and understanding from his humans. Ideally, his new family will be familiar with his breed's wonderful characteristics and nurture him through his twilight years.
Pierre can cope well in an apartment setting given that he receives regular walks or has access to an artificial grass patch. His laid-back disposition allows him to adapt well in any setting, and his perfect day would likely consist of a gentle walk, some quiet time listening to the world go by, and then a nap.
Pierre isn't overly needy, and he's able to keep himself entertained when needed so his ideal owner could be a full-time worker.
Pierre is an ideal companion for a quieter home, one that appreciates the love of a mature dog who has so much tenderness and loyalty to offer. Pierre invites you to open your heart and home to him for his retirement years; he promises to fill your life with immeasurable love and companionship.
Apartment Friendly: Could cope in an apartment environment. Regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Medical notes
Pierre has some congenital issues which have resulted in some spondylosis developing in his spine. He walks a little slower than others his age and has a bit of a limp.
Our vets say nothing can be done in terms of surgical correction and he is looking for a quiet home preferably with someone who is used to this breed and willing to give him his "retirement years".
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
