About Ewok
Introducing the most handsome boy you’ll ever meet, Ewok. Being the confident little man he is, Ewok is sure to easily join your family in no time! He may seem like just another black kitty cat but Ewok’s personality sets him apart from everyone else. Whether he is playing with his toys or lounging around the house throughout the day, Ewok has a heart of gold.
He loves to spend time with his foster siblings, sharing kisses and cuddles in the sun. He also loves to cuddle up to his foster parents on the couch and even wiggles his way onto his favourite pillow on the bed.
Ewok astounds visitors when he demonstrates his ability to play fetch. Give him a mylar crinkle ball and he can be entertained for hours!
Additionally, Ewok has a love for food. He’s not a fussy eater and will happily enjoy any food given to him. He may also be a bit curious with your food too if you’re not careful!! But it’s all done with love.
With the amount of love Ewok has to give, he has been diagnosed with VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect). Essentially the wall between the two lower chambers of his heart has a hole. As there is no surgical fix for this in felines as far as we have been told by the heart specialist, it is something that will need to be monitored throughout his life. Ewok doesn’t show any signs of discomfort at present so it is safe to say this defect isn’t hindering his life. He goes about his day happily without a care in the world.
If you’re looking for a confident kitty to join your family, Ewok may be the one for you. Ewok will need a family who is prepared to give him all the love he deserves but also someone who isn’t going to shy away from helping him live a happy life. You can book a meet and greet with him at his current residence.

Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heart’s adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time they’ve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
