About Elsa - Located in Endeavour Hills
Meow! Well, hello there, dear human! Allow me, the one and only Elsa, to grace you with a purr-fectly cheeky insight into my fabulous feline life.
First things first, let's talk about the sun. Ah, the sunbeams! They call to me like a siren song, enticing me to bask in their warm embrace all day long. You'll often find me stretched out luxuriously, my fur glistening in the sunlight, soaking up every last bit of warmth. It's my personal spa day, you know.
Now, let's address the elephant—or should I say, the dog? My bestie, my partner in crime, my fellow mischief-maker is none other than a Border Collie. Oh, the adventures we embark on together! From chasing each other around the house to plotting our next great escape, we're an unstoppable duo. Who says cats and dogs can't be best buds?
Speaking of companionship, I must mention my fondness for tiny humans. Yes, those pint-sized bundles of energy that roam around with endless curiosity. I find their antics amusing, and I don't mind indulging them with a gentle head bump or two. After all, it's all in good fun.
Now, let's get down to the real business: food. Ah, sweet sustenance! Nothing gets me more excited than the sound of a can opener or the rustle of a treat bag. I'm not afraid to vocalise my love for food, much to the amusement of my human servants. Hey, a cat's gotta eat, right?
But don't let my playful antics fool you. When night falls and the world grows quiet, I transform into a cuddle connoisseur. There's nothing quite like curling up next to my humans, purring contentedly as I drift off into dreamland. It's my way of saying, "Thanks for putting up with all my shenanigans."
So, there you have it—a glimpse into the life of Elsa, the cheeky little lady with a heart of gold and a purr that could melt even the coldest of hearts. Until next time, dear human. Keep the treats coming, and we'll get along just fine. Purrs and whisker kisses!

Medical notes
Elsa was born with a significant heart defect. She has had an echo with Dr Richard Wooley the cardiac specialist and has been diagnosed with Mitral valve dysplasia. This condition means her heart will eventually start to fail in the future. However, it is unknown when, and she may still live a happy and healthy life for many years to come. The condition does leave her at risk of developing blood clots, so she is on a daily ongoing medication to help prevent this. Elsa is looking for a loving home who will make sure what time she has is special.
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
