About Keira
Meet Keira, a mischievous feline who loves to playfully explore her surroundings. She has the soul of an adventurer, always looking for exciting new nooks and crannies to discover. Keira's personality shines when she spots her favourite mouse toy; she can keep herself entertained for hours!
Keira has a ton of love to give and is very affectionate, often bypassing her adventures for a chance to nuzzle up with her caretakers. Her outgoing nature and amiable demeanor make her easily get along with everyone she meets.
This lovely lass not only swings between being an independent explorer and an affectionate friend, but she is also a social butterfly. Fearless, she steps into the world with her tail held high, ready to interact and engage.
Keira is looking for a home that can match her energetic personality, and a family who can appreciate and love her adventurous streak while also appreciating her need for affection. She's ready and eager to embark on a new adventure with a loving family who can provide her with all the excitement and stimulation she requires for a happy life. A home that treats the world as her playground would be more than ideal for this adventurous and outgoing feline.
**Please note, Keira is an indoor-only cat-the exception to this is if she has access to a secure outdoor enclosure. This is to ensure her health, wellbeing and safety.**
**Strong Hearts Cat Rescue have a strict 'No-single-kitten' policy. That means we do not adopt kittens aged under 10 months to a household without another kitten companion, or another older cat at home.**
Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heart’s adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time they’ve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
