About Aiko
â Aikoâ
THIS BOY HAS HEART DOG STATUS ALL OVER HIM!
We can not express how special he is, so a very extra special home is needed for this boy
Approx 6.5 month old whippet mix
Anticipated to mature 20-25kg
Desexed male

In the almost 3 weeks he has been in care he has proved to be more than affectionate, sweet, loving, playful, friendly and beyond LOYAL to his core.
He would literally follow his foster mum through fire if thatâs what he thought she wanted.
Aiko is crated trained, toilet trained, walks pretty well on a lead, has learnt to sit and drop.
He loves adventures, rides in the car and Sunday sleep ins.
In true sight hound style he can be a sensitive soul and enjoys being where ever his person is. He likes to be watched while eating getting a little FOMO, he lays on the shower mat and would live inside your soul if he could. He has short bursts of energy and loves a nap. He enjoys a daily walk and would be suited to a rural or suburbian life style.
Aiko is great with all other dogs he meets, he enjoys a bound around play, not overly keen to be tackled like a rugby player. So a friend with a similar play style is needed. Aiko is looking for a home with another dog as he enjoys their company when his foster family works.
Aiko quite enjoys farm life and enjoys routine and the chores that come with that.
He has pretty good horse sense and although he hasnât exhibited any prey drive he does like to run with the horses, when they run. He has a great recall and is often found in his foster mums shadow.
Aiko is good with dog savvy cats and has a healthy respect for the ones he lives with, however a timid cat that is likely to run would have him thinking that might be a game.
Aiko is good with kids but would suit older children that wouldnât be bother if he jumped at times.
Aiko is still young so would benefit from general obedience training. He can jump when excited or overly stimulated, but settles quickly.
His house manners need some work as he thinks surfing the couch in a zoomie attack is acceptable.
He is more than willingly to learn and is very eager to please his people.
For a young pup we can not fault his beautiful personality.
Crying as I write this cause he just deserves the best. In 10 years of rescue and over 3000 foster dogs this boy deserves his top 20 status đ
If you have a shadow missing a dog and are looking to share your heart and home with our boy, please send us a brief description of your home and we will send you an adoption application form.

Adoption details
Our adoption process has 5 stages -
#1 A brief description of your home-
We ask that you send an inquiry with a brief description of the home that you can provide and why you think your home is suitable for the animal you are inquiring about.
Please note: if you do not send a brief description of the home that you can provide, or if your home is not what is suited based on the pets profile we will not continue with the adoption process
#2 Some questions-
You will receive an adoption application form within 24 -48 hours of your inquiry being sent
#3 Photo's of your yard - Applicable for dogs only -
Please provide photos of your yard including sheltered area from sun and rain
#4 Meet & greet - With other dog/s if you have any -
You will receive an email within 72 hours of sending your application in which we will let you know if your application has been successful. We will then organise a meet and greet.
Please keep in mind our rescue team is small. We work full time and have families and pets of our own. Sometimes emails are missed and some animals have over 50+ enquiries. We try our best to get back to everyone as soon as we can.
Our profiles are written with as much information regarding our animals, if you send an enquiry that does not meet the requirements of the particular animal, we may not reply. We ask you to carefully read profiles in full and the requirements for our animals and their new homes.
*PLEASE NOTE*: Not all applications are successful. We aim to match our animals to their perfect homes, sometimes there are many homes suitable but unfortunately only one animal.
Organized MEET AND GREETS do not guarantee the adoption of our of our animals. Eden Ark have the final say in the meet and greet process, If we feel our animal will not suit your family the trial period will not go ahead.
#5 A 7 day trial period -
If your meet is successful we ask that you have everything ready to take your new family member home that day. If this isn't possible, prior arrangement MUST be made - please understand we are not in a position to hold animals for you. Meet and greets are on Saturdays or unless prior arrangement has been made. Please note your meet and greet will be organised the first weekend available from an approved application, we try our best to accomodate but again we can not hold animals.
Adoption fee must be paid in cash on the day if your meet and greet is successful to start your 7 day trial period.
Once your 7 day trial period is complete,
Welcome to the Eden Ark Family!
