About Oxford
Looking for a loyal companion to share your golden years with? Meet Oxford, a wise and wonderful 9-year-old Border Terrier in search of a loving forever home. Oxford found himself in need of a new family after his beloved owner passed away. This sad loss for Oxford and his family is a wonderful chance of companionship for someone else.
🏡 Ideal Home:
Oxford is the epitome of a gentleman. With his calm demeanor and impeccable manners, he's well-suited to living with an older person who values quiet companionship and cozy moments at home. Oxford thrives in a tranquil environment where he can bask in the warmth of courtyard, or snuggle up on the couch.
🐶 Temperament:
Oxford is incredibly well-behaved indoors and is perfectly content to curl up at your feet while you enjoy a good book or relax in front of the fireplace. Oxford is a reserved dog and takes a little while to warm up to new people.
Oxford sometimes gets worried about dogs when out and about on walks, so quiet walks are the best match for him.
🎾 Favorite Activities:
While Oxford may be a bit older, he still enjoys fetch. He may not have the boundless energy of a puppy, but he makes up for it with his enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures. Whether it's sniffing the flowers in the garden or enjoying a leisurely stroll through the park, Oxford is happiest when he's by your side, taking in the sights and sounds of the world around him.

Medical notes
Oxford seems to suffer from Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), though this has only occurred when he has played too hard and long with a ball. His new home will need to moderate exertion for Oxford, ensuring he gets plenty of rest breaks during activities and avoiding overly strenuous play sessions.
Besides this restriction, Oxford has recently been vet checked and received a clean bill of health.
