About Pips
Introducing Pips, a sweet and relaxed cat with the most endearing nature. Don't be fooled by her calm demeanor; her blissful tranquillity is infectious and will make your day brighter.
This beautiful female feline is an indoor-only cat who loves a cozy corner, a comfortable blanket. Pips is a pretty girl, with soft fur and a loose, languid style of moving that's reminiscent of a princess. She's a delight to be around and is guaranteed to add that extra touch of elegance to your home.
Pips needs to have another feline friend to match her energy, where they could play, sleep, and relax together.
Pips is accustomed to the comforts of indoor life: her ideal day includes a hearty breakfast, a morning stretch, casual playtime, a cozy afternoon nap, and interactive play in the evening. Moreover, Pips loves to perch by the window or on a comfy ledge, where she can watch the world go by, providing hours of entertainment.
Pips is good with gentle cats and has been tested with small dogs.
If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful, and pawsitively adorable feline, then Pips might be an ideal choice for your family. She's ready to bring love, joy, and happiness to your home, hoping for the same in return.
Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heart’s adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time they’ve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
Our ‘No-single-kitten’ Policy
Strong Hearts Cat Rescue have a strict ‘No-single-kitten’ policy - no matter how fantastic your application is, unfortunately. That means, we do not adopt kittens aged under 10 months to a household without another kitten companion, or another older cat at home.
Why?
Young kittens need to learn appropriate behaviour from one another, or an older cat (or mentor if you will). If they don’t learn limits in their play with their littermates or other young kittens, they often develop inappropriate playful aggression. It may be cute when a kitten attacks your ankles, gnaws at your fingers or playfully swipes you, but way less cute when they are all grown up still displaying this behaviour. Ouchy!
Having two young kittens (or a kitten and an older cat) ensures that they always have company when you are away from home. Lonely, bored cats can become neurotic and often let their parents know about their boredom by displaying destructive behaviour or inappropriate urination. Yuck!
If you feel you are unable to care for two kittens, we strongly encourage you to consider one of the other wonderful adult cats we have desperately needing a forever home. Please contact us at strongheartscats@gmail.com or direct message us on Facebook or Instagram.
