Do you have a whole lot of heart to share with a shake of confidence and courage? Our beautiful boy HoneyDuke (aka Dookie) is chomping at the bit to meet you.

Dookie is an aptly named, 12 month old, desexed male, fully vetted, tri colour Kelpie. He is regal, extremely smart, beautiful natured and full of beans. He is a very fast learner; toilet training was a synch and I have learnt lots of other basic commands at my foster carers.

HoneyDuke is classic kelpie pup, constantly curious and into everything. He would suit a new home that is energetic as he needs a job. We can see him either on acreage or in suburbia and doing flyball or agility as he is very fast. He needs to be active whether that is working him, dog sports or plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He is wonderfully affectionate and just wants to please you and get a cuddle.

He is super friendly so would work well with another like minded dog, kelpie, or other working dog breed..

Crate trained, he sits on command and walks well on the lead and working on his recall. A car ride with the window open is one of his favourite things. While walking on leads, he loves to look around and is interested in other people and dogs but is distracted easily. He has shown no aggression to other dogs and is very happy to move on.

Loves playing with and resting on outdoor cushions. Dookie is still a puppy and he has chewed a few things at his current carers house. He will grow out of that but requires your patience and time to continue training. He would not suit someone who is away 9-5 unless you were willing to invest in Daycare, dog walker, sitter etc as he is always looking to investigate something.

Also, he is not interested in chasing kids on bikes or scooters. After chatting to a dad of 3 little ones, on bikes Dookie introduced himself (responsibly) to them by licking their hands to the joy of the kids.

As he is still in puppy phase it is important you have the time and Patience to continue his training.
