About Blaze
Meet Blaze, an incredibly human-oriented Husky with a tale of resilience that leaves a paw print on your heart.
Blaze came to us when his owner wanted to put him down. He came in with a big plate protruding through the flesh of his front leg. It appears he has been living with this for many, many months and his body was conditioned to the pain. He has now had specialist surgery to have the plate and screws removed and he has now fully recovered and is pain free.
This charming personality hasn't let his past slow him down one bit. Now in the prime of his health after expert medical care, he has bloomed into a joyous, playful companion, eagerly desiring to run, play, and shower his human companions with love.
Incredibly energetic and active, Blaze especially savors a good run in the park, tail-wagging walks, and absolutely delights in splashing through water called his name. Blaze's sociability extends to friendly medium-sized dogs. Although his breed's instinctive prey drive suggests that a home without cats or pocket pets would be the most comfortable fit.
His magnificent husky coat requires regular brushing. Tipping the scales around 18kg, Blaze carries his weight with grace, pairing his strength with his vibrant, infectious energy perfectly.
Envision a home for Blaze with plenty of space for him to exercise his sturdy legs and a roomy garden to let him indulge in nature's thrills. Even with his love for adventure, Blaze doesn't require constant human attention. He's content entertaining himself and isn't overly reliant so would suit full-time workers.
Blaze's ideal family is one ready to meet his devotion half-way, recognizing in him the loyal, cheerful companion eager to give back as much as he receives. Open your heart and home to Blaze, and rekindle the flame of joy this resilient boy sparks in every encounter.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Full Time Worker: Not overly needy and can entertain itself. DR recommends play time, dog toys etc.
Medical notes
Blaze came to us when his owner wanted to put him down. He came in with a big plate protruding through the flesh of his front leg. It appears he has been living with this for many, many months and his body was conditioned to the pain. We have taken him to a specialist surgeon and Blaze had the plate and screws removed and recovered well. The day after surgery he wanted to run around. I was so surprised he was not even limping.
He wound has totally healed now! He is an amazing happy dog who enjoys walks, splashing through water and lots of human company. He is social with other friendly medium sized dogs but is not suitable around cats or pocket pets due to his prey drive which is typical of his breed. He has a coat that sheds and needs a lot of brushing and he weighs around 18kg.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
