About Dalton
*In foster care in Annandale, Sydney*
Dalton is a sweet, old-soul kitten who loves marathon play sessions with his brother Houston!
Because he's still getting used to humans, he does like having a nice safe couch to dive under when he feels the need - but he's becoming braver by the day! As he gets more comfortable and learns how wonderful home life is, he's starting to wander closer to his foster carers and let them pat his super-soft fur :)
Dalton's really into the tennis, too - he loves it when his carers put on the Australian Open on so he can try to catch the ball!
Like all Maggie's pets, Dalton is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: As I'm still building my confidence, my new human or humans will need to be patient and kind, giving me plenty of space while sneaking in gentle cuddles from time to time :)
My brother Houston is a great support to me, and in a purrfect world you'd adopt us both together. (Here's his profile: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1019006) Sometimes when I cant find him in the house, I start to meow until he reveals himself!
I'm very curious and an intrepid explorer at heart, so a bit of extra space to roam around in would be awesome but not crucial.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm mostly a chill little dude, with mad spurts of playtime in between. (You can tell when I've been up to some serious mischief, because I'll pant with my tongue out, like a dog!) I do like to finish the night with a classic zoomy to entertain my foster mums :)
During the day I'm a very good boy, leaving them in peace while they tap away on their laptops.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't spent time with children yet, but my gentle nature shouldn't be an issue with kids. I have a great ability to retract my claws and have never left my carers with any scratches.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Though I haven't been around other cats before, I adore my brother so much and might get along well with another friendly feline in my forever home?
Because I'm quite shy, I don't think dogs would be the best match for me at the moment.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
