About Pebbles (8.6kg)
Meet sweet Pebbles
This girl is a delight to have around. perfectly polite and other than the pitter patter of her paws on the floor and her love for resting at your feet, you wouldn’t even know she was around.
Sadly pebbles found herself in care due to her elderly owner having to be placed in a nursing home. As you can imagine she is a little confused and unsure so will require an understanding home that will allow her time to settle in.
Pebbles is an easy going and friendly girl. In the home she is the perfect house guest. She is toilet trained and enjoys entertaining herself in the yard or resting in her bed or at your feet.
She enjoys sitting next to you on the couch if allowed and does enjoy to snuggle into bed to sleep.
While pebbles has had no formal training she is incredibly polite and well behaved. Never jumping and making a fuss. She unfortunately doesn’t know how to sit or do any fancy tricks but walks beautifully on lead and loves a ride in the car.
Outside of the home pebbles can be a little aloof and her fox terrier genetics get the best of her. She has no recall, we think in time she could learn. She does enjoy visiting the dog park when it is quiet for a good sniff and trot around. Pebbles does have a little idiosyncrasy of circle her handler on lead when she is a little overwhelmed but is no reactive and doesn’t bark when she is feeling like this.
Pebbles is good with other dogs but really has absolutely no interest in them. She politely says hello and gives not much else. She would easily co exist with another small male dog with a gentle and kind demeanour like herself or would love to be a spoilt only child.
Pebbles is not suited to a home with chickens or pocket pets and although appears unfazed by the cats she has been tested with. We would prefer a home with no cats.
Pebbles is good with children but would suit a quieter life style. A home with teenage/ adult children would better suit. She loves her humans company and is used to this but would be fine on days at home by herself.
Pebbles ideal home would be a couple/ single that is retired or works part time. A home with a a nice yard for sniffing and rolling around in, daily walks, car rides and someone to be a doting companion for.
She is the perfect pal and is looking for her forever.
If you can offer pebbles the perfect home. Please send us a brief description of the home you can provide and we will send you an adoption application form.
She is located in Whittlesea for meet and greets.
Pebbles is ready and waiting.
Medical notes
Pebbles has no known health concerns
She is desexed
Vaccinated
Microchipped
Intestinal wormed
Heartwormed
Flea prevented
Pebbles could do with loosing a kg or so, her elderly owner was sadly unable to walk her and struggled with dementia so forgot at times that she had already fed her.
Pebbles has mild tartar on some of her teeth that will need to be monitored as she matures. A denti stick should help with this.
(Please note small breeds are more prone to dental disease and requiring dental scales and cleans at the vet)

Adoption details
Our adoption process has 5 stages -
#1 A brief description of your home-
We ask that you send an inquiry with a brief description of the home that you can provide and why you think your home is suitable for the animal you are inquiring about.
Please note: if you do not send a brief description of the home that you can provide, or if your home is not what is suited based on the pets profile we will not continue with the adoption process
#2 Some questions-
You will receive an adoption application form within 24 -48 hours of your inquiry being sent
#3 Photo's of your yard - Applicable for dogs only -
Please provide photos of your yard including sheltered area from sun and rain
#4 Meet & greet - With other dog/s if you have any -
You will receive an email within 72 hours of sending your application in which we will let you know if your application has been successful. We will then organise a meet and greet.
Please keep in mind our rescue team is small. We work full time and have families and pets of our own. Sometimes emails are missed and some animals have over 50+ enquiries. We try our best to get back to everyone as soon as we can.
Our profiles are written with as much information regarding our animals, if you send an enquiry that does not meet the requirements of the particular animal, we may not reply. We ask you to carefully read profiles in full and the requirements for our animals and their new homes.
*PLEASE NOTE*: Not all applications are successful. We aim to match our animals to their perfect homes, sometimes there are many homes suitable but unfortunately only one animal.
Organized MEET AND GREETS do not guarantee the adoption of our of our animals. Eden Ark have the final say in the meet and greet process, If we feel our animal will not suit your family the trial period will not go ahead.
#5 A 7 day trial period -
If your meet is successful we ask that you have everything ready to take your new family member home that day. If this isn't possible, prior arrangement MUST be made - please understand we are not in a position to hold animals for you. Meet and greets are on Saturdays or unless prior arrangement has been made. Please note your meet and greet will be organised the first weekend available from an approved application, we try our best to accomodate but again we can not hold animals.
Adoption fee must be paid in cash on the day if your meet and greet is successful to start your 7 day trial period.
Once your 7 day trial period is complete,
Welcome to the Eden Ark Family!
