About Mercury
*In foster care in Carlton, Sydney*
Little Mercury is an absolutely beautiful black cat who loves to chase balls and gobble up his food :)
He's come a long way from the scared, hissing kitten who first arrived in Maggie's care, blossoming into the delightful and sociable boy we know now - often trailing at your heels as you go about your day, especially when food is being prepared!
Like all Maggie's pets, Mercury is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be patient and understanding as I settle in and find my paws. Treats and games go a long way to winning me over :)
My brother Vonny (https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1017509) helps me to feel brave and encourages me to explore and play, so if you'd like to adopt us together that would be purrfect!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium, I'd say! Toys with a bell or feather are my favourite, but I'm not the type to have zoomies or gallop over your bed at night.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Kids aged 10+ will be my best match. I don't like to be touched without a treat or a toy, and I might hiss and scamper away to my safe spot - but with the right approach I quite enjoy a pat and even the occasional purrito!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I think I'll thrive with other pets who are respectful and play gently. I keep to my own bowl (mostly) when I eat, so I'm a pretty good housemate too!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
