About Barbara
Meet our absolutely gorgeous Barbara, Barbie for short as she is a complete and utter doll.
This girl has the most sweet temperament we have ever met.
Loving & loyal to her absolute core. She is looking for a home to be someones doting companion and shadow.
She has been extensively socialized with dogs, cats and children and absolutely loves making new friends of all different shapes, species & sizes.
Hand raised from 10 days old after being dumped in a box at a construction site, she just absolutely adores her people, is affectionate, kind and loves a cuddle.
Barbie is looking for a loving and happy home to provide her with an excellent lifestyle. Daily walks, cuddles on the couch, indoor living with a nice yard for the occasional zoomies. Barbara's balanced/ sensible and kind demeanor would make her an excellent candidate for a dog you could take absolutely anywhere/ therapy or the likes.
Like all pups she would benefit from puppy school & then continued obedience. She is eager to please and keen to learn. Recently separated from her siblings she is taking to the start of her toilet training well, she sleeps in a puppy pen overnight with minimal fuss and has started her introduction to the lead.
Barbara would suit a home with another gentle k9 companion of the opposite sex or would love to be a spoilt only child with lots and love and attention from her people.
Barbie would be fine in home with dog respectful and gentle children 8 years and over.
Please note Barbara was DNA tested with an oral swab.
The results returned are Kelpie/ jack Russell/ golden retriever/ poodle/ border collie x (we are uncertain to the merit of the Golden retriever as this is not by any means seen in her looks or size, she has also been fostered with a golden retriever pup and unsure if they have shared saliva at one point by playing/ sharing bowls etc)
She is currently 2.3kg and is expected to mature under 15kg.
Barbara is available for meet and greets in Whittlesea
If interested please send a brief description of the home you an provide and we will send you an adoption application form.

Adoption details
Our adoption process has 5 stages -
#1 A brief description of your home-
We ask that you send an inquiry with a brief description of the home that you can provide and why you think your home is suitable for the animal you are inquiring about.
Please note: if you do not send a brief description of the home that you can provide, or if your home is not what is suited based on the pets profile we will not continue with the adoption process
#2 Some questions-
You will receive an adoption application form within 24 -48 hours of your inquiry being sent
#3 Photo's of your yard - Applicable for dogs only -
Please provide photos of your yard including sheltered area from sun and rain
#4 Meet & greet - With other dog/s if you have any -
You will receive an email within 72 hours of sending your application in which we will let you know if your application has been successful. We will then organise a meet and greet.
Please keep in mind our rescue team is small. We work full time and have families and pets of our own. Sometimes emails are missed and some animals have over 50+ enquiries. We try our best to get back to everyone as soon as we can.
Our profiles are written with as much information regarding our animals, if you send an enquiry that does not meet the requirements of the particular animal, we may not reply. We ask you to carefully read profiles in full and the requirements for our animals and their new homes.
*PLEASE NOTE*: Not all applications are successful. We aim to match our animals to their perfect homes, sometimes there are many homes suitable but unfortunately only one animal.
Organized MEET AND GREETS do not guarantee the adoption of our of our animals. Eden Ark have the final say in the meet and greet process, If we feel our animal will not suit your family the trial period will not go ahead.
#5 A 7 day trial period -
If your meet is successful we ask that you have everything ready to take your new family member home that day. If this isn't possible, prior arrangement MUST be made - please understand we are not in a position to hold animals for you. Meet and greets are on Saturdays or unless prior arrangement has been made. Please note your meet and greet will be organised the first weekend available from an approved application, we try our best to accomodate but again we can not hold animals.
Adoption fee must be paid in cash on the day if your meet and greet is successful to start your 7 day trial period.
Once your 7 day trial period is complete,
Welcome to the Eden Ark Family!
