Melanite

Introducing the loveable, very sweet, "Melanite" who is a Beagle x (we believe Basset Hound but we are unsure.) Melanite is 6 years old and was saved by her current owners from a backyard breeder who bred from her. She is the perfect size, she is below knee height with such beautiful colours.

This girl does not portay strong typical scent hound traits. Although she loves to sniff, she does not pull your arm off. She does bay instead of bark when she gets excited

Melanite simply adores people, dogs and cats, she's a real pleasure to meet and always has a smile on her face. She is currently living with two primary school aged children and a cat which she snuggles.

She does suffer from seperation anxiety, but doesn't bark or destroy the house. Melanite jumps onto tables and benches, paces nervously and doesn't settle.

Melanite knows how to sit and shake and is happy to frequent cafes with her owners and sit wait, or meet other dogs. When she gets excited, Melanite will leap up on all 4 legs. She enjoys playing with her toys and going for walks.

In our testing, we believe she is more comfortable with dogs her own size or smaller when on the lead. And she would love to be rehomed with a friendly medium or small sized dog.

Melanite's ideal home would be with an active family who could take her with them everywhere they went so that she wouldn't be left at home. She does love to snuggle, however she loves her walks. A retired couple or maybe a young family where someone worked from home? She would be the perfect doggo for you!
