About Nala
Meet Nala, a spirited Dachshund cross Kelpie girl with a heart as vast as the open spaces she loves to roam. At seven years old, Nala brings a unique blend of charm, resilience, and a touch of sass to every adventure.
In the heart of Nala's petite frame lies a bundle of joy weighing in at a delightful 10 kilograms. This compact dynamo may be small in stature, but her spirit is anything but. At 10 kilograms, Nala's lively presence is the perfect blend of resilience and charm, making her an ideal companion for those who appreciate the mighty personality packed into her modest size.
Whether she's nestled beside you on the couch, sprinting through open fields, or curiously exploring the riverbank, Nala is a versatile companion, equally content curled up on the couch with you or frolicking outdoors in the sunshine. Inside, she transforms into a cuddle connoisseur, snuggling up to you with a warmth that makes every moment special. But don't be fooled by her small size; when unleashed in wide-open spaces, Nala's little legs carry her at surprising speeds, chasing the wind and embracing the thrill of freedom.
One of Nala's favourite pastimes is a trip to the river. While she may not be the first to dive into the water, her curiosity knows no bounds as she explores the riverbank, occasionally dipping her paws into the shallows for a playful splash. It's in these moments that you see the softness beneath her tough exterior, a reminder of the resilient spirit within.
When it comes to sustenance, Nala is an enthusiast for all things edible. From gourmet treats to everyday kibble, this girl has an appetite for life. And speaking of life's pleasures, she relishes the quietude of early morning walks, where the world is still waking up, and the serenity of the moment is interrupted only by the patter of her determined little steps.
Nala harbors a tender heart within. She forms deep bonds with those she trusts, revealing a side of her that craves affection and companionship. However, she's also an independent spirit who appreciates her alone time, finding solace in moments of solitude.
Of course, every hero has their kryptonite, and for Nala, it's the vet's office. The mere mention of a check-up sends a shiver down her spine. Additionally, Nala isn't the biggest fan of encounters with other dogs, especially when she's on the lead. While she might tolerate some, particularly those of the smaller variety, big male dogs can sometimes ruffle her fur the wrong way.
Nevertheless, Nala's endearing qualities far outweigh her quirks. Her resilience, loving nature, and zest for life make her the perfect companion for someone ready to embrace the unique charm of this Dachshund-Kelpie mix. If you're ready to welcome this fur ball of energy and affection into your life, be prepared for a journey filled with laughter, love, and the delightful pitter-patter of Nala's determined little steps.
Medical notes
Vaccinations, desexing, microchip, and heartworm checks are provided by the rescue.
If there is outstanding vet work, the rescue will organise it with one of their partner vets. If the adopter would like to take over the vet work at their own cost to their own vet, this can be transferred.
