About Lola (4.8kg)
Meet loveable & loyal Lola
She radiates happiness, but believe us when we say she is the happiest timid dog you will ever meet.
Such a sweet and submissive nature. She can be initially a little reserved but give her 48hours and she will be your shadow and trusty side kick. Surrendered due to medical & time constraints she had a very sheltered life in the suburbs.
Fostered on over 50 acres she has taken to farm life like a duck to water and for this reason, we believe she would be happiest living a rural lifestyle and this is what we are looking for in Lola’s forever home.
She had very little socialisation befor arriving but has adjusted well to the Hustle and bustle of Eden ark Hq and happily coexists with 8 dogs ranging from 3 -35kg. Has little to no interest in the cats and is careful and respectful of the large animals including cows, horses and a pig.
Lola knows how to sit, is crated trained sleeping without a peep all night and will happily sleep on your bed. She is toilet trained, loves her people and has an absolute zest for life.
Due to her lack of socialisation she can be timid of boisterous dogs which leads to her screaming and barking like she is being strangled. She is also timid of a lead and these are things that will take time and patience.
A well mannered and adjusted dog of any size that is happy to share a bed and her company without worrying her would be best, or she would be equally happy as a spoilt only child.
Lola displays no separation anxiety and is fine when left at home while her carers work full time and is fantastic with children. Dog respectful and gentle children over the age of 7 would be no problems at all.
Lola enjoys a ride in the car and loves her food which will make her slow introduction to walking the harness which we have started and areas with traffic and high volume areas of people.
She is active girl and loves a good run and is never far from your side. Please remember that Lola is still a puppy and while we haven’t seen any destructive or undesirable behaviours she is a little pocket rocket with lots of energy
She is a true pleasure to have around and would be an incredible addition to a loving, patient, kind single or family looking for a new best friend.
Lola is located for meet and greet and is ready and waiting.
If you are interested in meeting lola please send a brief description of the home you can provide and we will send you an adoption application form.
*please note although we are looking for a rural lifestyle for lola she must have an adequate area she can be contained, be that a suitable yard, small dog run/pen, deck area etc
Medical notes
Lola is a young fit healthy pup. She has small under bite that does not affect her, however like all small dogs they are more prone to dental disease. Dental treats/ sticks etc should be considered to help maintain her dental health as she ages.
Lola is desexed
vaccinated
microchipped
intestinal wormed
heartwormed
flea prevented

Adoption details
Our adoption process has 5 stages -
#1 A brief description of your home-
We ask that you send an inquiry with a brief description of the home that you can provide and why you think your home is suitable for the animal you are inquiring about.
Please note: if you do not send a brief description of the home that you can provide, or if your home is not what is suited based on the pets profile we will not continue with the adoption process
#2 Some questions-
You will receive an adoption application form within 24 -48 hours of your inquiry being sent
#3 Photo's of your yard - Applicable for dogs only -
Please provide photos of your yard including sheltered area from sun and rain
#4 Meet & greet - With other dog/s if you have any -
You will receive an email within 72 hours of sending your application in which we will let you know if your application has been successful. We will then organise a meet and greet.
Please keep in mind our rescue team is small. We work full time and have families and pets of our own. Sometimes emails are missed and some animals have over 50+ enquiries. We try our best to get back to everyone as soon as we can.
Our profiles are written with as much information regarding our animals, if you send an enquiry that does not meet the requirements of the particular animal, we may not reply. We ask you to carefully read profiles in full and the requirements for our animals and their new homes.
*PLEASE NOTE*: Not all applications are successful. We aim to match our animals to their perfect homes, sometimes there are many homes suitable but unfortunately only one animal.
Organized MEET AND GREETS do not guarantee the adoption of our of our animals. Eden Ark have the final say in the meet and greet process, If we feel our animal will not suit your family the trial period will not go ahead.
#5 A 7 day trial period -
If your meet is successful we ask that you have everything ready to take your new family member home that day. If this isn't possible, prior arrangement MUST be made - please understand we are not in a position to hold animals for you. Meet and greets are on Saturdays or unless prior arrangement has been made. Please note your meet and greet will be organised the first weekend available from an approved application, we try our best to accomodate but again we can not hold animals.
Adoption fee must be paid in cash on the day if your meet and greet is successful to start your 7 day trial period.
Once your 7 day trial period is complete,
Welcome to the Eden Ark Family!
