About Zircon
Are you looking for a bit of scruffy love to add to your family? Well look no further! My name is Zircon, but my foster mum calls me Layla.
I think I'm a female 11 month old German Wire Haired Pointer x Bull arab? Whatever the mix is, it is super attractive and very sweet.
Snuggles should be my name, I want to be cuddling or touching you on the couch and bed and want to be near you. I'm the classic velcro dog.
My history has been quite sad and I was either kept on a short chain, left in a crate 24/7 for months or thrown in the backyard. Even with this, I am wondering with other dogs and share my home with a bull arab and dachshund x and a cat. I get on so well with them.
I am definitely both small and large dog friendly and also cat friendly. Just a simple "no" and I stop what I'm doing, tail down and run away. I am very loyal and also very willing to learn. My recall is excellent and I know how to sit, shake and drop already! I am also perfectly house trained!
I am a beach baby and loved meeting other dogs at the beach both big and small and their owners. Jumping over the waves, I looked quite magical.
I am quite a bouncy girl, I don't jump up much, but am excitable. I will require a confident home to give me strict boundaries and work on my manners.
I am very much still a puppy and after 10 minutes the toy I was playing with is boring and I need something else to occupy myself with. This must be taken into account when applying for me.
My ideal home will be an active family with another young, playful large dog that is happy to play often and a doesn't mind a bit of rough play.
I require an active family with teenage children as I get excitable around young children and try to jump on them.
I would adore going on hikes, camping, bushwalking etc. I would prefer someone who worked from home as I could snuggle up to them and be physically touching them. I need that human contact.
