About Desiree
Desiree is a 6 year old sweet girl, who is a bit shy at first. Once she has warmed up to you though, she is chatty and very loving. When she was brought to her foster home, she had settled in after one hour! She is sensitive to sudden noises, so will do best in a house with no young children or boisterous pets. She is currently living with a big male cat who would love to play with her, but she is definitely not interested and is not afraid to show him that.
She loves to cuddle up and receive lots of pats, purring instantly and chatting the whole time. She can have some interest in toys, but she will always prefer to sit and watch the birds outside.
Some of her best traits is her bright green eyes, and her striped tail! She loves to stare up at her foster mum when she is relaxing next to her, and you can't help but get lost in her gaze.
Even though her foster mum was told of her urinary and stress problems, she has not had a single accident and has no issues using her litterbox. She is on a special diet for general dental issues which are common in older cats. She has also has issues with chin acne, but this seems to have settled with the use of a metal bowl for her food and water.
Though it may not sound like it, Desiree is very low maintenance. All she needs is a comfy quiet spot to lounge on, and she will be the happiest, sweetest girl.
Medical Notes
Desiree has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.
Desiree has a skin condition called Feline Acne or Chin Acne. It is not known what causes this skin reaction, though it is usually mild and manageable. Using stainless steel or ceramic bowls rather than plastic often assists.
Desiree has previously had an episode of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease, (FLUTD), a condition which may result in urinary obstruction. Cat Haven recommends regular veterinary check ups. In addition, limiting stress is essential for these cats.
Desiree is located with her foster family in Osborne Park.

Adoption details
Just browse some of the photos of our beautiful cats available for adoption or come to our shelter in Shenton Park to meet our many beautiful kitties.
Please be aware that the cats featured on this page represent only a very small portion of the total number of beautiful felines we have available for adoption. We do not include any of our kittens on this page, as the turnover for youngsters is simply too high to keep up-dating, but we always have many beautiful kittens looking for homes!
Also many of our cats and kittens are currently staying in temporary foster homes out in the community but are still looking for a loving home, so please call Cat Haven in advance if you want to make arrangements for a meeting with a foster cat.
