About Tourmaline
Introducing the handsome boy Tourmaline, who is a 3 year old dark brown and white American Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 25kg of love and your future soul mate!
Tourmaline was found as a stray over a year ago in rural NSW and has spent over a year in a rural pound. While there, he won the hearts of the rangers who kept him on as a tester for other dogs entering the facility.
After half his life in a pound, the outside world is just so exciting and his training will need to be continued in his new home. Sometimes he can forget himself and must be reminded of his manners, so a confident owner is a must.
Tourmaline loves children, however he is on the larger side and does get a little over excited when meeting kids. We recommend children 8 years and over who are dog savvy with excitable dogs.
This beautiful boy is very food oriented making easy to train and very willing to learn. He would excell at dog obedience and agility and would adore learning more commands.
Tourmaline is very dog friendly and would love a doggy friend to keep him company, but would also be happy as an only dog. He is very affectionate as all staffies are and could snuggle next to you all day long!
This versatile boy is currently in foster care with a cat and has learnt to be cat tolerant. So with a slow interaction, he could live in a home with a cat, with supervision.
Tourmaline is able to be left at home alone while you go to work, as long as you leave him with a nice big juicy bone and an interactive toy to keep him occupied.
Being a staffy, he loves his walks and requires further training but is currently walked on a harness to reduce his pulling.
This beautiful boy ticks so many boxes, are you the family to show him life after a year in a pound? If so, apply for this boy today!
