About Tobi
Gentle ginger gent seeks loving human companions!
On the 27th of June, we were touched by the plea of a kind-hearted 85-year-old lady who needed help for her poor stray cat.
This cat, for whom she had been caring, had unfortunately injured his paw. It was truly heart-wrenching to hear that the lady's neighbours had already harmed her other stray cats. She was desperate to save this last remaining feline, and we knew we had to step in.
Without hesitation, we took immediate action and made sure the cat received all the necessary veterinary care he needed. It turned out that his paw had been injured due to a dog bite, but thankfully, we were able to save it.
Since then, this sweet ginger boy has shown us nothing but love and affection. He enjoys playing and relaxing by your side. Although he may not be a big fan of being carried, he does tolerate it. Tobi also gets along well with other cats, as long as they are introduced properly. Untested with dogs.
With his soft meow and love for basking in the sun, he has truly brought joy to the lives of his foster carers. However, we believe that he would thrive in a home with less traffic and older children.
Currently, Tobi is slowly gaining confidence and coming out of his shell. We are searching for his forever home, where he can continue to bring happiness and be loved unconditionally. Could he be your ‘perfect match’? '
Medical notes
Tobi has had a previous paw injury from a dog bite but that is well healed. No other medical notes.
Adoption details
Before Adoption:
Before adopting a new pet, ensure all family members understand that a pet is an emotional and financial commitment that you need to be prepared to love, house and keep safe for the next 15 to 20 years. This means premium nutrition, preventative health care, regular veterinary check-ups and keeping them inside or only having access to a cat proof area or yard. Pet insurance with accident and illness cover gives you piece of mind knowing your pet can get the veterinary care they may need and you don’t have to worry about if the expense.
We start off by either emailing you our adoption questionnaire or having a chat on the phone to get some details about who you are and what you’re looking for in a feline companion. Next step is to organise a meet and greet. Depending on your location, we bring the feline/s to you or you can come and visit the orphanage. There is usually a 24hour wait from the meet and greet to collecting your new family member so everyone has a night to think things over and so you have a chance to get your home prepared. If all goes well and everyone is happy, the adoption paperwork is signed and you collect your new family member.
All adoptions are subject to a two week settling in period. If for any reason your new addition is not suited to your lifestyle, you are welcome to return them for a full refund of the adoption fee. All adoptions come with an adoption pack which contains all their certificates and paperwork, information on preventative health care, diet, pet insurance and potential toxins/poisons around the home.
After adoption, we continue to provide ongoing advice and support in order to help you care for your new family member. To find out more about any of our orphans, please contact Judith on 0407 112 207. After the settling period we will always take back the cat no questions asked.
