About Kyoto - Dingo
Hi my name is Kyoto, I'm a curious, affectionate pup always looking for company and a belly rub. I love to cuddle after long bush walks, I'm an adventurous girl maybe we could go on hikes together and I could splash in the river or swim the ocean at the beach!
I'm looking for an active home, ideally with a dog or dingo friend (desexed male) to keep me company and help me continue to build my confidence and teach me how to socialise and play with other canines.
I'm pawe-some with people and very confident with strangers for a dingo (a rare trait!) because I was raised around humans from just 4 weeks old. My mum was killed and me and my siblings were orphaned and left to fend for ourselves- luckily a kind human saved us and contacted Sydney Dingo Rescue. I've spent every day since then with the different volunteers at the rescue centre which has helped make me very social and friendly, but sometimes loud noises and busy places can still take me some time to get used to.
I would be ok in a home with kids over 5, this is not because I'm aggressive, I love kids, it's just that I will grow to 20kg and might bowl over smaller kids or be too rough when I play. I am a dingo and a puppy after all!
Being a dingo, I need lots of exercise, my new family should have time for two walks a day while I'm younger, and ideally they would take me to puppy school or training classes so I can continue to learn and socialise. I'm really smart! So smart in fact that I can't be off the lead, I am very independent like most dingoes, and even though I know my name I won't always come back- let's go to the beach or on hikes together on lead, instead of off-lead parks.
I'm learning toilet training and crate training, but these are things my new family will need to continue to work on.
My new home will need secure 2m fencing or a dog enclosure, you may need to install dig proofing as dingoes love to dig as well as climb!
I can't live with cats, pocket pets, birds or livestock please unless they can be kept entirely seperate.

Dingo Adoption:
1. Send an email inquiry with your name and contact details outlining your current living situation, pets and family members and anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes typically require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. We will email you back adoption information and an application form to fill out and return to us.
3. If your application is approved- Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Goulburn shelter or their foster carers' home and let us find the right furry family member for you. We can also come to you. We are happy to meet new prospective owners anywhere in NSW or the ACT.
4. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full and a yard check has been completed.
