About Chester
Chester is a sweet 2 year old Ginger boy who has been through some really hard and horrible situations. He has somehow managed to come out a trooper.
Chester was part of a colony in a area that requested to have all the cats removed.
He was the last cat left on this site and the trapper was determined to get him. He had a problem with his right eye that had to be addressed by a vet.
Once Chester was trapped he was taken to the vet where it was discovered that he needed an enucleation.
Chester’s procedure went really well and was set to go to his foster carer for 2 weeks till he had to get his stitches removed.
Chester managed to chew through the mesh and escape in less than 12 hours while in care.
That’s when the hunt for Chester began.
Chester’s trapper went back and started the extensive search. Chester would still have to have his stitches removed in 2 weeks, so the race was on.
Months went by but the trapper was able to stay on his trail. He continued to move on from colony to colony, hiding and having so many people on his trail.
The community was helping, feeders were helping and other trappers were helping, knowing the urgency to get his stitches removed to prevent infection and possibly other medical problems.
A feeder finally spotted him and started building trust feeding him delicious meals. Chester started to trust her. The whole time she kept the trappers in the loop. We thought we would reach out to another trapper knowing she could give him another shot since Chester was very trap savvy.
This trapper had a reputation for being extremely experienced when it came to trapping the tuff ones.
After 5 long months Chester was trapped. His days on the streets were numbered and off he went to the vet to have his eye looked at.
His stitches were removed and was given a round of antibiotics to be sure if he had any problems that would take care of it.
Chester is a gentle sweetheart that loves being patted, brushed, playing with his wand, sitting in his cat condo looking out the window.
Chester isn’t interested in being outside. He loves hanging out with his humans and feline friends.
He gets on great with other cats. He loves listening to the piano and opera.
Chester hasn’t been tested with children but has been around a couple of dogs. He wasn’t fazed by them.
Chester is FIV+ but in great health. He has been fully vetted. Vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, flea and wormed.
