Meet Hop Goodenia (Fennec) — a delicate, deer-like boy with a soft spirit and an even softer cuddle. At 2.5 years old and just 11.4kg, he’s a petite mix (think whippet with a sprinkle of basenji/kelpie/mini pinscher magic ✨) who is ready to find a calm, loving home to call his own.

Fennec didn’t have the easiest start. He came into care shut down and unsure of the world… but in just a few short weeks, with patience and kindness, he has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate little companion who adores his people 💙

Fennec is the kind of dog who will quietly follow you from room to room, just wanting to be near you. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming — happy to curl up on the couch, then gently settle into his own bed when asked. He sleeps peacefully nearby and greets each morning with soft, happy energy ☀️

He loves a good zoomie in the yard, enjoys his toys, and is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. While he can still be a little sensitive to new environments or sudden noises (like wind or unfamiliar sounds), he is incredibly responsive to gentle guidance and continues to grow in confidence every day 🌱
