How you might share your story with us
You may choose to share your pet’s story with PetRescue in a number of ways. This includes (but isn’t limited to):

Submitting a story via a PetRescue form (such as a Happy Tail or campaign submission form)

Submitting the Home2Home feedback form

Tagging or mentioning PetRescue in a post on social media

Submitting your details through a PetRescue Facebook or social media form

Posting a photo, story, or testimonial in a PetRescue community space, such as the Best Friends Walk Facebook Group
By sharing your photo, story, quote or testimonial with PetRescue through any of these channels, and/or by responding to a request from PetRescue to use your content, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Sharing your story
You grant PetRescue a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to reproduce, edit, adapt, publish and share your photo, story, and any accompanying quote or testimonial.
This may include use across our website, social media, email communications, advertising, fundraising appeals, and other marketing or promotional activities that help inspire more people to adopt, including sharing with PetRescue’s partners who may also publish or share your story to help promote pet adoption.
Working with our community
To help create even more impact, PetRescue may share your content with trusted partners, supporters, media, and service providers who align with our mission. These parties may also publish or share your content for the purpose of promoting pet adoption and PetRescue’s work.
Staying true to your story
We may make minor edits to your submission for clarity, length, or accessibility, while keeping the intent and spirit of your story intact.
Where reasonably possible, we will attribute your story using your first name and your pet’s name, unless you have requested to remain anonymous.
Your permissions
By sharing your story with PetRescue, you confirm that:

The photo, story, quote or testimonial is yours, or you have permission to share it

Your submission does not infringe the rights (including copyright, privacy, or publicity rights) of any third party

Anyone identifiable in the photo has given permission for their image to be used in this way

If a person under 18 is identifiable in the photo, you are their parent or legal guardian, or have consent from their parent or legal guardian
Staying in touch
Where you provide your contact details (such as through a form submission), you consent to receiving the PetRescue Post and occasional updates about our work. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails.
Changing your mind
If you would like your content removed, please get in touch with us at info@petrescue.org.au.
We will make reasonable efforts to remove your content from future use. However, we may not be able to remove it from materials that have already been published, distributed, or shared by third parties.

1. Promoter
The Promoter is PetRescue Ltd (ABN ACN 123 057 536) (“Promoter”).
2. Prize Provider
The prize is provided by Pet Circle (Millell Pty Ltd ABN 17 148 151 213). Pet Circle is not the promoter of this competition.
3. Promotional Period
The promotion commences at 19.03.2026 AEDT and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 14 April 2026 (“Promotional Period”).
4. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over who adopted a pet via PetRescue.
Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Promoter are not eligible to enter.
5. How to Enter
To enter, eligible participants must complete and submit the official PetRescue Happy Tail submission form during the Promotional Period.
Limit of one (1) entry per person.
Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted.
6. Prize
One (1) winner will receive:
One (1) $250 AUD Pet Circle digital gift card
Total prize pool value: $250 AUD.
The prize:
Is not transferable
Is not exchangeable
Is not redeemable for cash
7. Winner Selection
This is a game of chance.
The winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries on 16 April 2026 via electronic random draw.
The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries in case of an invalid or ineligible entry.
8. Winner Notification
The winner will be notified via email within two (2) business days of the draw.
If the winner does not respond within fourteen (14) days, a redraw may occur on 4 May 2026.
9. Verification
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including proof of age, identity and adoption via PetRescue).
The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who:
Provides false or misleading information
Tampers with the entry process
Does not comply with these Terms and Conditions
The Promoter’s decision is final.
10. Privacy
Personal information collected will be used for the purpose of administering this promotion and in accordance with PetRescue’s Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
By submitting a Happy Tail entry, entrants grant PetRescue a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and publish their submitted story and associated images for promotional and marketing purposes, including social media and digital channels, without further compensation.
