In March 2026, rescue pets on opposite sides of the country stepped out in style, thanks to a generous donation from EzyDog. The Australian dog gear brand, known for its harnesses, leads and collars, has donated $1,167.82 worth of product to two PetRescue member organisations: Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter in NSW and SAFE Busselton in WA.
For rescue organisations, good-quality leads, harnesses and collars are everyday essentials that help keep dogs safe, build confidence and prepare them for life with a new family.

Meet the Rescue Organisations
Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter:
A council-run shelter based in Mulgrave, NSW, providing lost, found and adoption services for pets across the Hawkesbury, Penrith, The Hills, Hornsby and Cumberland council areas.
SAFE Busselton (Saving Animals From Euthanasia):
Operates a 100% foster care model across the Busselton and Margaret River region in WA. As one of ten SAFE branches across Western Australia, the team relies on donations and active fundraising to keep their fostering and rehoming work going, since they don't have a shelter facility of their own.

How PetRescue’s Food & Product Donation Program Helps Pets and People
Thanks to the support of pet-loving partners and brands, like EzyDog, PetRescue’s national food and product donation program helps coordinate the distribution of donated pet care items to vulnerable and at-risk pets across Australia.
We recognise that supporting pets also means supporting the people who care for them. That’s why this program extends beyond PetRescue member organisations, including rescues, shelters and councils, to reach community outreach groups that help pets and people through changing life circumstances.
