Do you speak cat? - The Tail Curl
What is your cat saying when their tail curls at the end?
“You look like a lot of fun, let’s play”
In the realm of cat speak, the ‘curled tail tip’ is a greeting that indicates your cat is looking for some quality playtime. By sticking their tail up straight into the air and gently curling the tip, your cat is showing you that they are in a happy, inquisitive mood and eager to initiate play.
This body language is normally accompanied with wide eyes and puts a spring in your cat’s step. The gesture is an open invitation from your cat and suggests that they are pleased to see you and in a friendly mood.
So, whenever you spot the ‘curled tail tip’, be sure to have a piece of string, ribbon or toy on hand to get the fun started - your cat will have a whale of a time chasing it around! Have fun!
