Where do adoption fees for rescue pets go?

Desexing is an important step in the process of being a pet guardian - in some states, it can be a legal requirement. Plus, all rescue groups listing pets on the PetRescue website require that their pets be desexed.
For low-cost desexing options, you can apply via the National Desexing Network – all the details, including terms and conditions, are available on their website. For those on a pension or concession card, be sure to check in with your local council, as many run seasonal desexing programmes (and you might even get on a waitlist).
