Bushfire-affected rescue cats found love in Melbourne!
In an act of love and kindness by the PetRescue community, our partner Jetpets and member rescue organisation Maneki Neko helped our team facilitate the evacuation of four cats from a rescue group in rural NSW due to the on-going bushfires.
The cats, Oreo, Yogi, Oscar, and George arrived in Melbourne and the lovely Melbournites opened their hearts and their homes to these gorgeous purries!
The incredible Jetpets team generously offered to pay for the cats’ flights and the crate hire fee
Maneki Neko offered to take these cats in despite being at capacity and helped find homes for them. And all four of these hero evacuees have been adopted!
This was an amazing opportunity for Melbourne residents to come together and support the communities and animals affected by the devastating bushfires.
