The Eurobodalla Animal Shelter is a local government facility operated by Eurobodalla Shire Council, serving as the central intake point for lost, stray, and surrendered animals across the region.
Our adoption process ensures every pet is matched with a suitable, permanent home:
Enquiry & Application: Prospective owners lodge an expression of interest.
Meet & Greet: Interested adopters meet the animal at the shelter to assess compatibility, including introducing existing family members or resident dogs where appropriate.
Property & Suitability Check: Staff confirm the home environment meets the specific animal's needs (such as secure fencing or specific yard requirements).
Adoption Finalisation: Once approved, the adoption agreement is signed, payment is processed, and microchip registration details are updated to the new owner prior to the pet going home. All pets leave microchipped, vaccinated, and desexed (or with a desexing voucher/agreement).
