About The Diary of Rescue Cats
Established in 2026, The Diary of Rescue Cats is a Sydney-based independent rescue focused on vulnerable stray cats, rehabilitation, and responsible rehoming. Every cat that comes into care is treated as an individual, with a focus on safety, patience, veterinary care, and finding the right long-term home.
As a small home-based rescue, cats are cared for in a foster environment rather than a shelter setting. The rescue prioritises responsible adoption practices, including desexing, microchipping, vaccination, indoor-only homes (or secure cat enclosures), and careful matching between cats and adopters.
Beyond rescue itself, The Diary of Rescue Cats strongly believes in education, compassionate stray cat management, and supporting long-term solutions that reduce the number of vulnerable cats needing rescue in the future.
While passionate about helping animals in need, intake is limited by available foster space, funding, and resources to ensure every cat already in care can continue receiving the support and quality of care they deserve.
Right now we are focusing on the colony we look after and getting them off the street.
