About The Stray Cats Project
We are an incorporated association and registered charity based in Newcastle NSW (Australia) and funded mostly by the generosity of our donors but also our own efforts.
We are dealing with eleven ‘colonies’ of homeless cats and are currently feeding around 130 hungry cats.
The cats are desexed and microchipped and given a medical check and then placed in foster homes to await adoption or temporarily returned and fed and monitored while awaiting a vacancy.
We endeavour to relieve the suffering of the cats, reduce their proliferation by desexing, and reduce their social and environmental impact.
