Domestic Short Hair
BEST BUDDY MATERIAL
Full of charm and character this lad is looking to become apart of a family who has time engage with him. He is quite the talker. He loves a lap to occupy but if there isn't one available he will follow you about the house supervising your daily chores. Salem loves the usual scratch under the chin, purring and rubbing around your feet and relaxing on the couch. He uses a litter tray and is looking for a home as an indoor cat.
Australian Cattle Dog Mix
Dog, Cat & Child Friendly
Pippa is a fun loving and pretty girl who is ideally suited to an active family with teenage children. She loves being involved with family life and lives happily with other dogs and cats. Due to her young age, she is best suited living with a slightly older dog who can teach her the ways of the world. Though Pippa would be just as happy being the only pet in the family. Pippa has responded really well to training and now walks well on a lead, sits and waits on command and cannot help but share her infectious smile. She is working really hard on not responding to other dogs who bark at her and is really good when meeting other dogs on and off leash. Pippa loves to run on the beach and swim in the sea – playing in water of any kind is a pure joy to her. Her recall to “Pippa come” is totally reliable even when there are more exciting attractions on offer and training is easy as she is so eager to please and be loved. Pippa currently behaves as expected for a 1 year old and with ongoing training will develop to a loving and loyal family pet. She thrives on long walks and is ok and be left alone periods of time. She travels well in a car and is crate trained. She finds great joy in squeaky toys (plays with them without destroying them) and is learning to play fetch. She enjoys training with treats but is not greedy and will sit and wait to be given her food. She is nervous of new environments and seeks reassurance but as long as she has her human with her she is confident to proceed. Due to previous trauma Pippa does not like to be pointed at, shouted at or be told “NO!” - she will respond by barking at you which can be intimidating. The vet thinks that she spent long periods of time being chained as a puppy as her back leg muscles were underdeveloped but this has been rectified by regular exercise. She enjoys the company of others and always brings a smile to all she meets.
Personality. Cat friendly
Bailey is an absolute sweetheart of a pup!!!!!! We would like him to go to a home that has an existing dog, one that is gentle and playful and happy to share toys etc. His family must be prepared to include him in their activities, let him sleep on their bed and cuddle on the couch. Puppy school would be of benefit but not essential. Bailey is very doggie social, fine with cats and he loves people. He came to us in a very bad state and he has forgiven all humans for the sins of past owners. We have so enjoyed our time with Bailey and we want a wonderful home for him: one with plenty of love and games and happy times. His mix of breeds could include boxer, mastiff, great dane or maybe pointer????? we really don't know. Because he was starved and his growth is stunted ( he is smaller than your average Labrador) it is hard to determine what breeds he is but he has all the good qualities of loving companion.
A Real Sweetie
Bess is a happy, people friendly pooch. In a pound through no fault of her own, we would like to find her a home where she can be involved with her family and included in their daily activities. On the smaller side of medium, she is a great size for an indoor companion or a buddy to take in the car. Bess walks well on the lead and in a secure yard would manage while her humans were at work. She is just a nice dog, happy to be your side kick. She is happy to meet people and other dogs while out walking but she isn't overly interested in interacting with other dogs. She likes to supervise her humans. Bess loves to play under the hose while you are watering the yard, or play chasing and throw a rope toy around.
Irish Wolfhound Mix
Benson is a very loyal fellow, looking for a home in need of a 4 legged best friend. He is great with other dogs, good on the lead, housetrained, always happy and ready to be a sidekick! He doesn't do well left alone for long periods. He is well behaved and no trouble to take with you on outings. We estimate his age to around 4 yrs, his breed to be wolfhound crossed with possibly greyhound ( just because of the muscle in his hinds) and his weight to be about 35 kg. He needs to put on another couple of kilos. Benson is on the larger side of medium, his coat is easy care and he is just an all round nice dog!
