Bindi and Dakota are a gorgeous pair of Staffies who are looking for a loving home where they can enjoy their golden years together.
They are both lovely, relaxed dogs who enjoy the simple things in life — spending time with their people, having a gentle daily walk, eating good food and plenty of relaxing and sleeping.
These two have a lovely friendship and clearly enjoy having each other around.
Bindi
Bindi is a relaxed and affectionate girl with plenty of personality — including a wonderfully typical Staffy voice!
She can be a little stand-offish when first meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she gets to know you. Once comfortable, she is friendly, affectionate and very happy to spend time with her people.
Bindi can become quite vocal when Dakota is receiving attention, and she will happily push him aside to make sure she gets her share of the cuddles! Thankfully, Dakota seems very tolerant of her cheeky ways.
Bindi is not overly jumpy or pushy when walking around the yard and is generally a calm girl. Bindi tends to look to Dakota for reassurance in new situations and follows his lead, so he appears to be an important source of confidence for her.
Bindi is house trained and knows how to use the doggy door.
Dakota
Dakota is a lovely old boy with a wonderfully laid-back nature.
Despite his age, he still gets around surprisingly well and can manage the stairs, get on and off the couch and happily potter around the yard.
He is easy-going, relaxed and loves people and dogs. He is also an exceptionally patient gentleman when it comes to Bindi! He tolerates her pushing in for attention with the patience of a true old soul and doesn't appear bothered by her cheeky behaviour.
Dakota doesn't jump up on people or push past them and is generally calm and easy to have around.
He is still learning his toileting routine and has had some accidents inside. He knows how to use the doggy door but currently needs to be encouraged or sent through.
Bindi and Dakota have a lovely dynamic. Bindi is the more vocal and cheeky one, while Dakota is the calm, quiet gentleman who takes everything in his stride. They both listen to their names, and "no" and "stop" are understood. They are not showing any resource guarding — although they may bark when something gets their attention!
Their behaviour around cats, children and unfamiliar dogs is also still unknown, so these introductions would need to be managed appropriately.
Bindi and Dakota would love a quiet and loving home where they can enjoy their retirement together.
Their ideal family would be a couple or individual with plenty of time to spend with them and an appreciation for the companionship that senior dogs provide.
They don't need an extremely active lifestyle. One gentle walk a day should be enough, with plenty of time afterwards for relaxing, napping and enjoying being part of the family. They would prefer a home where someone isn't away for long periods every day. They enjoy their food, their naps, their daily walk and, most importantly, having their people around.
Bindi brings the personality and Staffy chatter, while Dakota is the quiet, gentle old soul who takes everything in his stride.
Together they make a very sweet pair and would love the opportunity to spend their retirement in a comfortable, loving home.
If you're looking for two wonderful senior companions who will happily share your couch, your home and your heart, Bindi and Dakota could be the perfect pair for you.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
