Welcome to the Pet Rescue site for the Mornington Peninsula Shire's Community Animal Shelter
From time to time we will run specialty programs that are designed to get our pets into homes with reduced adoption fees.
The Mornington Peninsula Shire runs a rehoming /adoption program to find as many cats and kittens their purrfect home.
It is amazing how successful these campaign's work with the power of the internet and sites such as Petrescue, letting hundreds of people access our pets profiles and giving them a second chance at a loving new life.
Every year hundreds of pets across Victoria are euthanised in pounds and shelters.
The Mornington Peninsula Community Animal Shelter prides itself on working with over 30 rescue groups and adopting out to the public ensuring that as many of our unwanted pets as possible have the chance at finding their furever home.
Mornington Peninsula Shire's Community Animal Shelter promotes Responsible Pet Ownership and can provide a wide range of useful information and tips on how to keep your pet safe and happy.
If you would like to visit any of our pets or have questions regarding our adoptions please contact our friendly shelter staff and they will be able to assist you.
Perhaps you would like to volunteer at the shelter. The shelter is always looking for people to help walk our dogs and pat our cats. It is a very rewarding pastime.
