About Vail 10997
Vail is looking for a patient and understanding owner who can help her continue building her confidence and feel secure in her new home. With your love and care, she'll blossom into a wonderful companion.
Vail is an indoor-only cat, and her heart is longing for a calm and quiet environment to call her own. If you're an experienced cat owner, you'll appreciate her unique personality and the love she has to offer.
Vail is a bit timid, so a home with kids aged 8 yrs and up would be ideal for her. She's gentle and patient, making her a great match for a quieter family/household.
Vail came into our care with her sister, Geneva, and they share a special bond. She loves to cuddle and play with Geneva. So if you have other cats, a slow and patient introduction would be best.
Due to her timidity, we wouldn't recommend rehoming Vail with a dog. She prefers a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and secure.
Despite her initial shyness, Vail has a playful side. She's sure to brighten up your home with her playful antics, especially when she's chasing after her favourite ping pong toy.
Vail isn't fussy when it comes to food, making mealtime a breeze. She's quite content with her meals and appreciates a well-stocked food bowl.
You'll never have to worry about accidents with Vail. She always uses her litter tray, keeping her living space clean and tidy.
Although Vail can be a bit shy initially, she warms up to her humans with time. She's okay with being picked up and even enjoys a small cuddle. Her sweet nature shines through with chin scratches and chest pats. Vail isn't a vocal cat, but you’ll hear her purr with delight when scratched in the right place.
If you're ready to open your heart and home to a sweet, shy, and playful cat, Vail is the one for you. She's just waiting for the right person or family to provide her with the love and security she deserves.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
