About Badger
Hi! I'm Badger and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
Size: Large
Weight: 33.9kg
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR Badger
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/GY8QzUthHMi4ymV36
NOTE: You are unable to meet Badger until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Badger in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with cats, so it is recommended that I don't go to a home that has them.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I am most likely best suited as an only dog until I receive further socialization as I can be a little full on and reactive towards other male dogs.
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children as I can be bouncy when excited and would hate to accidently knock them over
• Small animals as I may find them fun to chase
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit
• I walk well on lead once my initial excitement has worn off
• I love attention, head massages & bum scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch
• A great age where I am up for a play or walk but also just as happy to chill out on the lounge
• I LOVE toys & playing in water
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will benefit from further basic training so that I am the best mannered & behaved boy that I can be.
• I LOVE my toys but can be obsessive about them so may need to have supervised toy time rather than free access to them at all times
• Further socialization with other dogs recommended
