Meet Chicory, the sweetest and most inquisitive little puppy you’ll meet.

Being young, she spends her days playing with two adult resident dogs, exploring the garden and playing with her toys. She loves nothing better than to cuddle on your lap or lounge on the floor with her people.

Her favourite love is her puppy kong, full of healthy treats! Her next love is for her food. Arriving into foster care incredibly skinny, Chicory is very food orientated. This makes training a breeze. She can sit and wait for food, and her recall is perfect for her age.

Chicory is making improvements with her toilet training, with going outside to do her business more often than not. She sleeps through the night in her puppy pen.

In foster care, Chicory has been living with dogs, cats and chickens. She is cat friendly, although incredibly curious, so a confident cat would be ideal if any. Chicory happily roams the chook pen and is more interested in the chook pen environment rather than the chickens.

Health Information. Chicory has a rectal stricture caused by inflammation when she was just a tiny pup. Chicory has a small area of scar tissue in her rectum which if not managed (with a healthy diet), can cause some difficulty when she poos. In foster care, Chicory has had no issues with going to the toilet. Provided she is given a high-quality diet and has access to water, Chicory’s bowel actions are nice and easy to pass. Veterinary advice is that as Chicory grows, the scarring will not become an issue and she will outgrow this problem.

Chicory’s new family will need to be committed to continue her training, to ensure she continues to be well socialised with other dogs and ensure that they can provide her good quality food (Lifewise) and supplements.

Chicory is an all-rounder kind of pup. She’s social, clever, cuddly, active but also loves affection and company. She will make a perfect family pet for families and couple alike.
