Dear sweet Charlie. He’s had a very hard time and all he wants is stability, love, peace and calm. He desperately wants to be loved. Three years ago he found himself at RSPCA, where the shelter staff said he was very shut down, frozen in fear and wasn’t coping. They asked us we could take him into care.
Of course we took him and spent a long time rehabilitating him and caring for him and helping him to be more confident.
We found a home for him with a family who promised to care for him and love him and continue the training and help we had started.
All of our adoptions come with a contract whereby you can return the dog to us at anytime during their life, anytime. We stay in touch and we ask how the dog is progressing, through email and text.
Sadly , 3 years later, we saw Charlie’s photo at another shelter!!!
This was the worst place for him and of course he was terrified, shut down and very very scared. We contacted them and we got him back, again, and started rehab, again.
Charlie is the sweetest boy, and we love him dearly and really want a forever home that will honour their commitment to this precious boy . Plus he likes cats!! He likes dogs, and he loves food. He’ll need someone very patient and able to take things slow. Please tell us in your application about your patience and ability to work with the advice given.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
