Hazel - 2 Month Old Cattle Dog X (Trial)

The Miss Congeniality award goes to Hazel, our 8 week old Cattle Cross pup who is the sweetest little girl.

Hazel has taken everything in her stride in care, sleeping in a crate, playing with the cat and hanging with the big dogs. She loves to be picked up and fall asleep on your lap watching TV.

Her cross breed is a guess, but she may have a double coat, we are very confident she's a working breed mix. As such, her adoptive family are going to need to provide her with lots of opportunity to run and burn energy as she grows. A family who will take her along on adventures and not leave her in a yard is her wish list, along with secure fencing and gates and someone who can feed her regular small meals as she grows. A commitment to puppy training will also be highly favoured, so she can safely navigate the big wide world.

Hazel’s adoption fee is $700.00 which includes their desexing when they are old enough. It also includes their first two vaccinations. They have been treated for fleas and worms, and are microchipped.

Hazel is in foster care in Salamander Bay, NSW area. Since they are not yet desexed, the are only available for adoption in the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. They will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when they are 5 to 6 months old.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
