About Umbrion
The beautiful and ever so sweet Umbrion is now seeking her forever family. The amazing and gentle Standard Poodle weighing just 17 kilos will make a wonderful addition to most family situations as she has a heart of gold .
For those who know and understand the breed she will not disappoint .
She is smart, loving , cheeky and full of love
Umbrion loves to play ball and will play until your arm falls off lol
She hasn't shown much interest in other toys yet but we are slowly getting her to âhave a tryâ at new things to play with.
She adores humans of all sizes and hasn't got a mean bone in her body. Umbrion does put her paws up on you for a hug when overly excited but does settle when asked.
She is respectful in the house and will not jump all over furniture but will sneak into the kitchen to steal food off the bench when not supervised. Umbrion is a true water girl and will play in the rain if you allow her âŠâŠ
She is beautifully behaved at the groomers and as you can see by her pictures looks amazing when kept neat and tidy.

Traveling in the car â Umbrion enjoys trips in the car and would love to go on family outings. Initially she might be a little restless but if in a secure harness will settle down and enjoy the trip.
Food â
Umbrion is currently eating premium adult food. Her cute little quirk is to lay with her bowl between her legs and eat and enjoy her dinner.
Outside â Unbrion just loves her outside time. She enjoys zooming around the yard and exploring the garden.Being a Poodle her nose is always up for a sniffing game and she loves playing â find the food and treat gamesâ where we spread her food and treats over the yard and hide them around in the bushes and she loves to spend time seeking them out
Umbrion will bark at the dogs next door on the fence line if they bark at her.
Grooming and Hygiene
Umbrion will need, as poodles go, ongoing dedication to her grooming. She is a Poodle and this comes with a commitment to keep her professionally groomed all year round. As you can see from her pics she was groomed yesterday and looks good enough for the Royal ShowâŠ
People interaction -
Umbrion has been in care with young children and is very gentle with them and loves playing fetch and bringing the ball back to them and dropping it at their feet. When visitors arrive she will greet them with a lot of enthusiasm by wiggling her entire body that includes her little butt. She will also do a little air jump of excitement but will then settle.
Independence Umbrion is best suited to a home where someone is home more often than not if she is the only dog in residence. She will whimper and perhaps bark for 5 to 10 minutes but settle and find something to amuse herself.
Interaction with other Animals-
Umbrion is not fond of birds and particularly cats and if on a rural property with standard farm fencing she will jump and chase kangaroos and rabbits. Umbrion lived with another dog and while in our care has met quite a few dogs but is not fond of dogs that are overly excited and dominant and want to jump all over her, we found her best suited to a gentle but playful dog who will not get up in her face and jump all over her, in saying this we have found her behavior is better as an only dog.
Obedience -
Oh this angel is extremely well behaved. She will sit when asked and her lead skills are improving. We find walking on a correction collar has been of great help for Umbrion to learn her manners on lead. When she sees another dog Umbrion will get excited and pull a little in excitement but that's just to say Hi. She is house trained and we leave the door open for her so she can come and go in and out while she pleases. Her recall is improving each day and we feel with continued balanced training this girl can reach for the moon
Umbrion sleeps all night. Even though she has the use of a dog bed, she has chosen to sleep on the floor in her bed next to someoneâs bed.
Ideal Home/Adoption criteria
A good size medium to large yard with plenty of shade shelter and plenty of grass to play on with secure fencing.
A home where she can mainly be inside with access to outside and treated as part of the family
A home with children would be great but we seek dog savvy school aged children
A home with NO CATS OR POCKET PETS please
A home with another dog is ok but as we said she is best behaved when being a single dog
A home that will continue her training and have the time to walk her daily
A home that have the finances to keep her groomed and well maintained
