About Cannoli
Cannoli’s love of life is infectious, and he has such a wonderful energy about him. He is a happy little scruffier who is always wagging his tail and often has a big smile on his face. Cannoli is an affectionate little dog who is friendly with all people that he meets. He is very toy driven and loves to play fetch. His toys are so well loved that he doesn’t even tear them up. Cannoli is a little pocket rocket with lots of joyful energy, but he also settles nicely and is able to chill out at home. He particularly likes to find a nice sunny spot to lie in for his naps.
When Cannoli entered a facility in rural NSW, he was penned with a small female dog who he also came into foster care with initially. The two got along well and enjoyed each other’s company around the home. Cannoli can be a bit overexcited when meeting new dogs out and about; however, he is able to socialise nicely when given appropriate direction for calming down and if given guidance when being introduced to new dogs. Dog parks would be too overstimulating for him, he is better suited to playdates with known dogs. He is currently 7kg in size and relatively active so will require daily exercise in his new home.
His current foster carer’s love big dogs, but Cannoli has shown them that there are some really great little dogs out there too. He is quick to learn boundaries at home and, after some reinforcement in the first week, he has mastered toileting outside. Cannoli shows great potential to learn whatever his new owners would like to teach him. He travels well in the car, is fine to be left home alone and with some fine tuning is the type of dog who could end up going anywhere with you.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Cannoli where he will be a loved member of the family. He can live with another friendly dog, or as an only dog as long as he gets enough physical and mental stimulation from his owners. It would be ideal if his owners are home more often than not as well. Cannoli should be allowed inside the home to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He would be fine to live with dog savvy children; however, his new owners would need to have the capacity to focus on his continued training and socialisation out and about so older children may be a better fit for this reason. Cannoli is bound to bring a surge of energy and happiness into his new home that will lift his new owner’s spirits each and every day.
If you would like to make this little scruffer a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about your previous dog experience, current household members and the type of lifestyle you can offer Cannoli.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
