About Mikey
Meet Mikey, a 14-month-old lovable Labrador mix who will steal your heart with his wagging tail and big brown eyes.
He loves spending time socialising and playing chasey at the dog park (enclosed). He also loves chasing tennis balls, sometimes more than bringing them back!
Other hobbies include napping, snoring, ear scratches and has never met a treat he didn't like.
Everyone comments on how handsome he is - he's a real head-turner. He's also very loyal and will want to spend time with his family, so someone home part of the day would suit him best.
He is learning to control his enthusiasm but sometimes needs the promise of treats to over-ride his desire to run and bounce! Typical of his type, food is the way to motivate him.
Mikey has a smile and a zest for life that is infectious and he seeks someone who is keen to adventure with him and who has lab experience. Any kids need to be big enough to withstand a knock from his wagging butt and his handler needs to be strong and agile enough to handle him when the bounces kick in on walks.
Mikey would do well in a home with another playful dog or with someone who can help him make suitable playmates.
Mikey is a real sweetie. He is handsome, travels well in the car, is obliging and generally optimistic, he craves stability, committed and calm people and a predictable and nurturing environment. He is a lovable boof, with a broad and pattable head and soulful eyes who is always up for some fun and to entertain the humans!
