About Lilo
Miss Lilo has a sweet and lovey dovey personality. She is an epic cuddler who will crawl into any lap that is on offer. Lilo doesn’t hold back when meeting new people – she quickly shows them that she wants to be their friend and of course gets in their lap at the first opportunity. She has also enjoyed making friends with the kids at the beach and is very good with them. Lilo’s scruffy coat and adorable face capture everyone’s attention when she is out and about. She is a pup with a docile and soft nature that you can’t help but fall in love with.
Lilo has been having daily walks to the local park where she has gotten the opportunity to meet dogs of all shapes and sizes. She is yet to meet another dog who hasn’t liked her due to her lovely social skills. Lilo likes playing with the other dogs and adapts well to play with both her big and small doggy friends. Lilo is expected to grow to a large size (over 30kg) and will require some daily exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy and healthy throughout her life.
While in foster care, Lilo has begun her basic training. She knows how to sit for her treat and walk on a lead. Off-lead she is coming when called back to her carer and doesn’t run off. As she is still a puppy, Lilo will require her new owner to be committed to her ongoing training and socialisation. Lilo will be best suited to living in a quieter environment as she can find loud traffic a bit overwhelming to walk alongside. She would thrive with an owner who is able to build her confidence with noises like this and continue to increase her exposure to new things in a positive manner.
Lilo is crate trained, happy to take herself off there for a nap, and is able to sleep through the night in her crate without a peep. Her toilet training is still a work in progress, improving each day, but her owner will need to be willing to work on this with consistent routines while she settles into her new home. Lilo travels well in the car and would love to join her new family on adventures.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Lilo who will include her as a loved member of the family. She can live with another friendly adult dog who has already been trained up to be a good role model for her. Otherwise, she is fine to live as an only dog if her owners are around more often than not to give her all the attention that she deserves. Lilo will need to be allowed inside to be with her family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. Due to her young age and lovely temperament, we expect that she will be able to live with other types of pets with the appropriate training and guidance. She is also ok to live with dog savvy children who are able to follow direction and behave appropriately around a puppy who is still learning. Lilo is going to bring a tonne of love to her new home and will be a wonderful snuggle partner for those evenings on the couch.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
