About Baby Bowser

Bowser is an 18-week-old working line German Shepherd pup that has had a tough start to life. Bowser found himself in the shelter and homeless at 3 months old, he is now looking for a forever home that is dedicated to bringing him up, helping him become the well-rounded, social boy we know he can be.
Bowser is full of beans and energy; he loves to play with other dogs and people and will play for hours on end not quite realising he is tired himself. Bowser has been crate trained in foster care and is learning to develop his ‘off-switch’ to settle and calm when required. Bowser has taken well to training and has already learned to sit, drop, go to his bed and is already toilet trained too! This gorgeous boy is a sponge willing to soak up all the training and skills taught to him, he would thrive attending puppy classes and then ongoing group obedience classes, he is extremely clever.
Bowser will be quite active as an adult dog, he will require plenty of physical exercise, but will also need mental enrichment to keep him occupied. Short training sessions at home multiple times a day will help to keep Bowser stimulated and engaged, he would also love to be given enrichment games to help build his confidence such as treat dispensers, hide and seek puzzles, treats frozen in ice blocks and more.
Bowser is still a pup and at times will get a little mouthy and jump up, he needs a breed experienced owner that can set boundaries and stick to them, someone that is not afraid to put in the work with a typical ‘land-shark’ puppy that needs to be shown direction. All family members must be on board to give Bowser consistent training, for now, he is best suited to a home where everyone is over the age of 8 years old.
Bowser has missed out on some of his early socialisation, when he sees other dogs, he can be a little conflicted at first and is unsure what to do and how to interact, sometimes Bowser will use his biggest puppy bark to alert everyone to how unsure he is, not realising how to ask if he can play. Bowser will need to attend obedience training to work on his socialisation so that he can be calm around other dogs and greet them appropriately.
Once Bowser feels comfortable, he LOVES playing with other dogs, wrestling, and playing bitey face is his ultimate favourite, he currently lives with a 10-month-old shepherd who he adores playing rough with. Bowser would love to live with a slightly older dog that is happy to play and wrestle, at times he may need to be managed and separated to give the other dog a break, this puppy playing energy is the real deal! Bowser likes to chase cats trying to play, he will need plenty of training and management around any cats and small pets in his new home.
When Bowser has finished playing, he soon falls asleep, and the sounds of sweet little exhausted puppy snores can be heard throughout the house. Bowser loves a nap on the couch and loves pats and cuddles, he really is the best pup with so much potential, he is the perfect mix of crazy energy and sweetheart snuggle bug – what all god German Shepherd pups should be.
Bowser is a cute little puppy now, but he is going to be a lot of work, he will grow into a big dog and needs someone experienced and dedicated to give him the necessary training and socialisation to ensure he becomes a great adult dog.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
