About Ari *9 Lives Project Rescue*
Meet Ari, an affectionate and sociable cat who loves to snuggle up with people! He is a true lap cat, and he can’t get enough of cuddles and kisses. Ari loves being around humans and will always be the first one to greet you when you come home. He’s also playful, and especially enjoys chasing after dangly toys. All in all, Ari would make a wonderful addition to any loving home!
Medical notes
Ari is FIV postive. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a slow-acting virus that affects cats. It is important to note that many cats with FIV live long, healthy lives without ever developing symptoms of the disease.
FIV is primarily transmitted from cat to cat through deep bite wounds during fights. It weakens the immune system, making affected cats more susceptible to infections. However, cats with FIV can live long, happy, and healthy lives.
One important thing to know is that FIV ONLY affects cats. It cannot be spread to humans or other animals. It does not pose any risk to human health. It's also important to note that FIV-positive cats can coexist peacefully with FIV-negative cats.
The virus is not easily transmitted through casual contact such as grooming or sharing food bowls.
No medication or special food is required to manage FIV.
