About Sooty (61337)
Sooty was surrendered to gaws through no fault of his own and is looking a forever home that will guide him through his puppy stage so he grows into a well rounded boy.
Sooty will grow to be a large dog, at only 5 months young he is already the size of a medium dog so a good size backyard will be needed plus daily outings.
Sooty has had a stint in foster care working on his manners training, socialising and exposure to the world. He has had an energetic female dog as a friend who he gets along famously with but can certainly go his seperate way when he's had enough of her shenanigans. He has also spent some time with 2 smaller male dogs, one being senior and he reads their body language quite well for a young pup, but does argue the point when he has been told by them they've had a tolerable amount of time with him.
Sootys ideal forever home would have previously or currently owned a German shepherd.
He would be best to have a well adjusted adult dog to continue to be a good role model to look up to and be a play mate as well.
Sooty requires daily brushing especially as his adult coat begins to come through. Exposure to a groomer will also be beneficial. Sooty whilst active and engaging is learning crate training and switching off when necessary, he is toilet trained, walks well on a leash with some minor corrections that will need to be maintained as he grows bigger and stronger!
If you can offer Sooty a forever home with all of this and more then please apply.
