About Moose
Hi! I’m Moose and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR Moose
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/KXoCfJMELQMLXCqh7
NOTE: You are unable to meet Moose until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Moose in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
Moose is currently in foster care with his friend Angel, to see more of his personality, please flick through the pictures and videos our foster carer has shared.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A Female doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Food motivated
• I can sit
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk very well on lead for my size & strength
• Happy to hang out with friendly Female dogs
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Exuberant & full of beans when excited but does settle quite quickly
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this. A friend for company and a family who has a lot of time for me would be beneficial
• I am social with female dogs however I am reactive towards males if they are too full on or reactive to me, further socialisation is recommended.
