Marlo - 1 Year Old Kelpie X (Trial 8/10/23)

Marlo is a Kelpie X who is ready to fall in love with his forever family. He has deep brown eyes and a big heart guaranteed to make you melt!

Marlo is a total love bug who just wants to be everyone’s friend. He greets you with a full body tail wag when you get home. He loves cuddles and belly rubs, and will be extra happy if he’s allowed on the couch for a cuddle (he thinks he’s a lapdog) but he will also happily hang in his bed as long as his humans are close by.

Being a puppy, he also loves to have a good zoom around and is learning how to play with others. Marlo’s idea of a good time is going down to the dog beach or dog park, running laps of the joint and saying hello to every dog and human.

Marlo wants to do whatever he can to make his humans happy. He’s responding very well to training. He’s house trained and will go lie in his bed when told. He can be a bit fearful, so it’s important to train him with positive reinforcement. Marlo’s still a baby and he’s in the process of learning good manners, so he needs his humans to be committed to training him on an ongoing basis.

Marlo loves other dogs, he’d be very happy living with another dog of similar size, or going to the dog park/beach regularly to socialise with others. Being a puppy he can get a bit excited so his new humans will need to help him continue working on his socialisation.

Marlo will make a fantastic addition to almost any household. Given how much he loves humans, he will need to go to a household where he’s allowed inside with the you. He needs a decent amount of exercise and stimulation. He does ok when left alone in the yard while you’re at work provided he’s been out for a run in the morning and has access to some toys to keep him occupied.

As Marlo is still learning his manners, like not to jump up to say hello, so he’s best with kids over 10, or kids who are used to living with a larger breed of dog.

Marlo is located in Long Jetty NSW. His adoption fee is $500. He is recently desexed and fully up to date with all vaccinations and worming.
