About Erik
Allow us to introduce the very handsome Erik.
Erik didn't get to spend much time with people whilst he was a young kitten so he is still learning how great people can be. He has made a lot of progress whilst spending time in foster care, and is now looking for a furever home to continue building his confidence.
Once settled in Erik is an active young lad, who loves play time and pats. Being picked up is a concept he is not used to.
To set Erik up for success in settling in to his new home he does have a few specific requirements:
A quiet, primarily adult, maybe with quite teens, home is required, with a lot of consistency and routine. A busy house with lots of visitors and children will unfortunately be too much for him.
Having his own safe room to adjust to first is a must, and understanding that this adjusting can take weeks, not days, before he then slowly starts to explore more of his new home.
Although humans as friends is a new concept for Erik, he is used to having feline friends. A confident feline friend is a must in his new home so they can help him as he settles into his new digs and for lots of play time. Also, a cat that loves to paly is best.
To learn more about Erik please speak to our fabulous staff at the RSPCA Peninsula Shelter: 5978 9001, or pop down to visit between 10am-3.30pm.
