This little man is a 10/10 cat. He might actually be 11/10 because of his sweet personality and adorable lil’ stumpy tail!!
Wombat is lovely to whoever he meets. He’s sweet, gentle, loving and the very best boy. Unsurprisingly, he’s lovely and affectionate with other cats too.
Wombat came to us with an amputated tail. It was amputated by the pound vet, despite a valiant attempt to heal the wound and keep the tail. Wombat stood out to us because we saw his vet notes at the pound, and despite the pain he dealt with, he remained affectionate, well behaved and super loving 🥹
The amputated tail adds character and is very very cute. It wags when he’s happy, and we think he’s absolutely PERFECT exactly how he is.
Wombat has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus but don’t let that stop you for a micro-millisecond. Hot foot it to his medical section to learn more!!
Send us a message if you’d like to have this utter joy of a cat in your life. He deserves the very best and we love him dearly 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Medical notes
Wombat had his tail amputated but this causes no pain and it has fully healed.
He is positive for feline immunodeficiency virus - KEEP READING!!
Cats with this virus often live long and happy lives, and you wouldn’t even know Wombat has it. Because of his super friendly nature, the risk of him transmitting it to another cat in a domestic environment is incredibly low and unlikely. This virus is typically transmitted through deep, vicious and bloody bites, and I think you can see from his photos and description that this boy is a lover 💖 not a fighter.
He will need to be kept fully indoors, and we have this same policy for every cat we rescue.
Plenty of cats with this virus live happily and harmoniously with cats who don’t.
A perfect example: Wombat’s foster carer has 3 cats: one with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and two without. The boy with the virus spends most of his time doting on the other two cats and gently grooming them. 🥹
Sensible things like keeping on top of vet visits and vaccinations, and getting check ups at his vet appointments are important- and this is what you’d do with a cat who doesn’t have feline immunodeficiency virus anyway.
We find that cats with feline immunodeficiency virus often have the sweetest natures and are incredibly loving.

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2-week trial which we stay in touch with and provide support during this time.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork, transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
